BALL HOCKEY TOURNAMENT—On September 8th from 5 pm to 7:30 pm, come out and support the 3rd annual Douglas Deacon Memorial Classic Ball Hockey Tournament. Anyone can play, and it’s for a good cause. Help raise awareness of people who have developmental disabilities, plus funds will go towards the St. Albert Special Olympics.

WHEELS FOR WISHES—On September 10th from 11 am to 4 pm, help raise money for Make A Wish Northern Alberta. Presented by the Edmonton Camaro & Firebird Club, this event was started in 2014 all from a wish of a young boy who wanted a ride in a Camaro for his birthday. This year’s goal is to raise $10,000, which will make one child’s wish come true.

MAX AMINI—On September 10th at 7 pm, come out and have an enjoyable evening with stand-up comedian Max Amini. This UCLA School of Theatre grad has 50 film and TV credits to his career, including NBC’s Heroes. His sold-out shows have great acclaim across the globe.

HARVEST FESTIVAL—On September 11th from noon to 4 pm, the Musée Héritage Museum will be hosting this annual event. Old-fashioned fun for the whole family without having to bring in the harvest. There’ll be live music, games and plenty of kids’ activities.

ST. ALBERT CENOTAPH REDEDICATION—On September 11th from 1 pm to 2 pm, the City of St. Albert and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 271 will officially rededicate the WWI Cenotaph, which will now include the names of five local residents’ who were previously missing from the plaque. Also, a plaque to commemorate Canada’s Afghanistan campaign participation will be unveiled.

LARGE ITEM PICK-UP—From September 12th to 16th, you’ll have a chance to get rid of the large item that you’ve been meaning to dispose of for awhile now. All week, all over St. Albert, just put your large item (limit of two per household) at the curb, and it’ll be collected. There are exceptions, so click on the link below for specific details.
