GRANT 101—On October 4, the Alberta Foundation for the Arts and Arts Exchange will have a public information session. Guest speaker Barbara Mah, AFA, will inform people how to get funding and to make a successful grant application for fine-art artists.

CREATING GRAPHIC NOVELS—On October 8, teens and adults have the chance to get insider knowledge for creating their own graphic novels. Writer-in-residence Richard Van Camp and other experts will offer tips and advice for creating a graphic novel from start to finish. Registration required.

AMPLIFY FESTIVAL—From October 13 to 14, discover a new way of looking at art and culture with workshops, concerts, projects and performances. This festival, now in its fourth year, is completely organized by young adults for young adults. For students from Grade 7 to those up to 21-years-old.
